Public web forms linked to HARMONiQ
A suggestion from the September 2023 networking session was to have publicly available web forms linked directly to HARMONiQ to capture input from third parties without requiring a HARMONiQ login.
Potential use cases could include:
- Simple quote/price requests
- Warranty/return requests
- Service requests
- Customer/supplier onboarding
- Customer feedback
- Employee requests - vehicle reports, expense reimbursements etc
This is currently possible using a third-party web form system and then capturing confirmations and translating to HARMONiQ, however this can obviously be complicated to setup and update any time you want to modify the forms.
Expectation would be that you can create multiple forms within HARMONiQ which would specify an object to link to, the fields you want the user to fill out including whether they're required fields, and whether the field is a number or date etc. Users would also be able to upload files which would then be stored as external document links in HARMONiQ.
There would be a reasonable amount of work to build this functionality and make it configurable, so we're interested to see how many users would find this valuable, and what other potential use cases there would for it that we've overlooked. This is largely because we have to build both a web front end, and the standard HARMONiQ configuration for it.
Initial estimate would be approx $30k to build this feature, which we can share between a few customers, or if there's enough interest, we could build it fully and charge a monthly subscription for it.
