Creating A New Product

In this article, we will go through the procedure to follow when creating a standard stock product in HARMONiQ.

1. Open the Product List

2. Select Add-F2 to create a new product. HARMONiQ will then display the Product screen.

3. Enter a product Code or press + to add the next code in the sequence

4. Enter the product Description

5. In the Type field, select Standard for a standard stock product

6. Select the appropriate product Category

7. Set the Stocking Status to Stocked

8. Set the Workflow Status to Active

9. Set the Stocking Units to the appropriate unit, e.g. Unit. These are the units of measure (UOM) - other stocking units might be Each, Tonne, Hours, Pack, etc.

10. Select a Primary Stock Bin

11. Select Save-F9 at the bottom of the screen then press Esc to close the new blank product screen.

Your new product should now be displayed in the Product List. Where it is displayed in the list depends on how many products are already set up in your HARMONiQ system and how the list is sorted. You can filter the Product code or Description to find your product quickly.
