The Instant Access Menu (IAM) allows users to begin a new activity (such as a transaction) in HARMONiQ without needing to close or finalise the activity currently in progress. This makes it possible to work across multiple screens and activities simultaneously.
The IAM is launched by pressing the F12 function key from anywhere within HARMONiQ. It can also be launched using the IAM star icon.
The location of the IAM icon varied depending on the screen type.
During transaction entry, the IAM icon appears on the status bar at the bottom of the screen.

In any object list, the IAM icon appears on the command menu bar.

A typical use case for the IAM may involve an Accounts Receivable user entering a customer receipt when another customer calls to check their account balance and place a sales order.
Without needing to abandon the current transaction, the user presses F12 to open the IAM and handles both requests immediately. Once finished, pressing Esc returns them to the exact point where F12 was pressed - in this case, the customer receipt query.
In this scenario, the user accesses account information by selecting Customers in the IAM menu and enters the new sales order by selecting Sales Orders and pressing F2.

IAM options are determined by management and are usually configured by the system administrator.
