If your object list has too many records to display on one screen, you can filter the list using one or more columns. This helps narrow down the records, making it easier to find what you need.
The blank space below each column title is the filter area. Here you can type in what you're searching for - like a product code or description. You can enter the full text or just the first few characters.

For example, typing in 'zz' in the Product filter area will show all products where the product code starts with 'ZZ.'

At the bottom of the screen, you'll see the current filter applied.

To remove a filter and return to the full list, click the X next to the filter description.
If you don't know the starting characters of what you're looking for, you can use % as a wildcard. The % symbol means "contains," so HARMONiQ will find any records that include the text after % anywhere in the field.
For example, entering '%003' in the product code filter will display all products with '003' anywhere in their code.

This is especially useful for searching documents that use both text and numbers in their numbering structure. In this example, the filter is applied to the product Description using the 'Contains' method.

You can also combine multiple filters. For example:

This method works on any object list. Below, the Customers list is filtered to show only customers whose names starts with 'test'.

You can refine this even further by adding a Phone Number filter, so only customers whose name starts with 'test' and whose phone number contains '64' are displayed.

For transaction lists, like the Sales Order List, you can filter by specific amounts to quickly find a transaction.
